March 11, 2008:
Whatever took place in the “Executive Session” held behind closed doors under the guise of protecting Superintendent McGee’s “privacy” led to the following actions. With obvious proof that lies had been communicated by Mr. McGee, the Board UNANIMOUSLY voted to NOT reprimand Mr. McGee for his admitted lying. Instead the following action was taken due to the new information gained during the “Executive Session”.
Could it be that Mr. Baerlocher was the source of these lies? Why else would Trustees be prompted to NOT RENEW Sam Baerlocher’s postions as Athletic Director and Head Boy’s Basketball Coach?
What happened next can only be described a group effort to deceive and manipulate the unknowing Public to force a Mob Rule mentality and situation to arise in order to “UNDO” the decision made by Trustees in regard to Baerlocher. Chairperson Vicki Cornish and Superintendent McGee worked together to rally support for their Agenda by using mis-information and political spin to create the “Save Sam Rally of 2008”.

In this audio clip you will hear various people speak in support of Sam Baerlocher. The sad reality is that NO ONE at this event REALLY understood why Baerlocher had been “NON-RENEWED” NOT “FIRED”.
This article would have been unnecessary if Mr. Baerlocher would have spoken to the Public at this meeting to clear the air and take RESPONSIBILITY for what appears to be an UNTRUTH that was passed on through the chain of command and found it’s way to the Board Room and into the ears of Trustees in February of 2008.

Florence’s Baerlocher receives honor
Sam Baerlocher, the athletic director at Florence and the head boys’ basketball coach, was recently named 2011-2012 Class B Athletic Director of the year for Montana by the Montana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
Florence-Carlton School District superintendent John McGee said Baerlocher was recognized for his dedication to his students.
“This award is given to the one activity director who is viewed as going above and beyond in their efforts for the success of the children,” McGee said. “Sam was recognized for being active in rules clinics, working tirelessly in scheduling different activities and being available both as a coach and an administrator to help whenever it was needed.”
